My new digitally printed on both sides neoprene gaming mat arrrived!
Just took delivery of this beauty!

Video Updates Coming Soon!
The other thing I got into this week was movie making.
A couple of the guys on the paint and chat lines suggested using my Iphone to film updates to my blog. At first I passed it off but then the idea took hold. I decided I could take small snippets of footage and edit them together into a small 5 or 10 minute update once a month to the blog.
This weekend I took some test snippets and downloaded Windows Movie Maker and edited it into a small sample clip. I must admit it was a lot easier than I had expected and so am now excited about using this media to journal more of my gaming journey and keep myself accountable to you readers.
Feel free to comment or make suggestions and I will see what I can do to respond and include any material requested.

Empire V Fast Learn notes
Hi all
I have been asked many questions about Empire V Napoleonic rules over the years since starting this blog as these are the rules I use for my own solo gaming as well as the 6mm battles I am a part of in the Monday night group I belong to.
In a few weeks I will be introducing the rules to the local gaming club called BIG (Brisbane Independant Gamers) with the help of a few guys who know the rules as well. There is a movement in the club interested in gaming Napoleonic battles.
So here is a quick learning document I threw together to assist those in wanting to know more about Empire and how to quickly gain its concepts just before jumping in on a game. I will also be adding a separate document detailing the Hourly Round used in Empire as well as some cheatsheets.
