1. Purchase 30cm x 30cm Artboards from local newsagent or craft shop. The ones I get have 2 boards for about $3 - $6 AUD.

2. Paint these boards with undercoat - in this case using a sand colour for the Middle East.

3. While the undercoat paint is still wet, add flocking. Allow to dry thoroughly.

4. Spray the whole board with a clear finish 1 or 2 coats to strengthen the flocking. Allow to dry thoroughly. Lately I have been using a thick layer of strong hairspray. Seems to work okay.
