Yay! I finally got some momentum happening. I finished a full 2 divisions of French Infantry both line and lights. Included are Brigade and Divisional Commanders and 1 Battery of 8 guns.
2 full divisions of French Infantry with mounted brigade and divisional officers and a battery of 8 field guns
A regiment of 2 battalions of Line Infantry in line formation
A regiment of 2 battalions of Light Infantry standing in line.
Okay now I'm off to print another 2 sheets and put together the remaing 2 divisions of infantry before I start on the light cavalry.
Let me know what you think.

Yes, they look good - although I still feel a green background to the figures would look better! Also the 3 ranks look a little crammed together - perhaps if the spare round the tops of the figures were trimmed away a little they would look less cramped? Another point - the horse are some of the older less realistic ones. If it were possible to substitute some of the newer horses I'm sure they'd look far better too.
But overall, an impressive sight! I must get some SYW armies completed soon. Thanks for the inspiration to do so. :-)

Thanks mate. Still not sure about that green background. I do have a goal to cut out the white between the dudes as in the pic of the line infantry.
What do you mean about the newer horses. Got a link?
You site is pretty cool too. I;ve linked and will definitely come back as I plan to do SYW as well.
I wonder if there is some more neutral colour that would help as a background to the figures; must get my printer working so I can do some experimenting!
The newer horses are here: http://www.juniorgeneral.org/paper.html under Masters. They're hugely better than the old ones, I think.
Thanks for the positive comment about my blog. :-) I wish I had time to sort out some figures and do some wargaming too! Drawing flags and figure templates is a very time-consuming activity...

I bet it takes ages to do those flags. Well done.
I will have a look at that horse master. Although if it is a master I may not quite know what to do with it. We'll see.
As for the background, neutral might do the trick...something like beige or bone.
I was not sure about the horses until I saw them on the battlefield. They do look really nice. Since they sport a lot of white, I would experiment with them for the background color.

One more thing...you need more crew on the guns. I am not keen on the flat look of them. Some extra crew in the front positions and maybe an officer/gunner would help draw the eye away from the fact that the gun is completely flat.
